Channel Islands - Clearance
Although the Channel Islands are Crown Dependencies, they are not part of the United Kingdom and Customs requirements differ. The islands are not part of the EU and are outside the VAT area of the European Union.
Jersey:
If you are arriving from outside Jersey you can complete the Customs and Immigration Declaration online in advance. Go to Rules for Private Marine Vessels.
If you have not submitted a declaration in advance of your travel a yellow ‘Q’ flag must be raised and a Maritime Customs and Immigration Declaration submitted immediately on arrival.
If you are unable to submit the declaration on your personal device, facilities will be available at St Helier Marina Office.
All persons must remain in the port area on their vessel until a Maritime Customs and Immigration Declaration has been submitted.
No one except the captain may go ashore until formalities are completed.
