CYCLING – Poole has approximately 46 miles of cycle network and the various routes cater for all ages and abilities of cyclist. 27 miles of the network are away from traffic including leisure routes in pleasant green acres and cycle paths by the sea. There are over 500 Sheffield stands throughout the borough for cycle parking together with 39 free bike bins in the town centre. – The Bourne Valley Greenway stretches between Canford Heath in Poole and the seafront in Bournemouth and is a distance of about 4 miles. The Greenway follows a picturesque green corridor, which includes open spaces, heathland, a nature reserve and formal gardens. – The Heritage Cycle route is over 7 miles long and visits places of historic interest in Poole Town Centre, the Quay and at Upton Country Park.
