Terry Donovan, a marine biologist based near Oban, Scotland, has compiled a guide to Lock Creran, with emphasis on marine activities. The guide produced in conjunction with the Marine and Coastal Development Unit of Argyll and Bute Council, covers the lock’s history, biodiversity and natural attractions. Although specific to Lock Creran, much of the information applies to other West Coast lochs.
