Anchorages:

A suitable anchorage can be found off the northern point of Peesua Samut Island. There are several small jetties for tying up dinghies in the vicinity.

The passage into the heart of Bangkok is now blocked to masted vessels by a new fixed bridge.

There are fast ferries available for a trip to the city.

Both water and fuel can be found at the jetties on the east side of the river.

Marinas:

For motor yachts intending to explore into the centre of Bangkok there is a city centre marina just past the Rama III bridge. This is part of a condo development and can accommodate boats up to 36ft.

An alternative berth can be found at the Royal Lakeside Marina on the Bang Pakong River, located about 20nm east of the Chao Phrya river entrance (13° 26.88′ N, 100° 57.02′ E). It’s approximately half way between Bangkok and Pattaya and is part of a golf resort. Again, it can only accommodate boats up to 36ft.

The Riverdale Marina is now officially open for boaters. This is part of the Riverdale district, a lifestyle complex located in Pathumthani province, on the Chao Phraya River in northern Bangkok. The marina can accommodate eight boats up to 10m (33ft) in length.
