Alcùdiamar is a nice sheltered harbour. I’ve spent here 5 nights in January 2020. Although being out of season many bars and restaurants were open (not the ones directly inside the marina). Old town is a short 15 min walk and is pretty awesome as the ancient atmosphere is still felt by walking by the narrow streets and city walls. Showers are good (although super strong chlorine smell in the water), office and marineros are friendly and professional. night fare up to 9mt in january is 14€. Laundry inside the marina is expensive but you leave your basket to the lady and collect it back to your convenience (meaning you don’t waste half a day waiting for it).

    Information on Alcudia

The Marina has a well-stocked nautic shop/Chandlery on the premises that we were glad had everything we needed including some professional advice.
A few more chandleries and hardware shops in the Port area make for a good stopover to grab some odds and ends.

Laundry in the marina is pricey at 10€ washing and 8€ drying per 5kg, cheaper option is easily found on the internet at 15€ washing, drying and folding per 10kg at the address Ctra. Arta n°30.

Anchoring is a good option with some parts sand closer to shore and some parts mud as seen on sat images that have a less good holding. If your draft permits, anchoring closer to the beach to the north will considerably reduce swell and waves by ferries etc. make sure you know your draft and check with sonar readings.

Even though we anchored at 3m depth, we couldn’t see the ground due to the water conditions, not the cleanest compared to all surrounding bays.

The city is well worth a stroll and should need to arise we found a rental car for 25€/day.
Taxi to Palma comes at around 84€, direct bus to the airport will cost you some 6€.

Going to the city by dingy, just pulling it on the beach at the marina entrance is a good option, mind the swimmers though.

We were told Marina concession will end in October and people couldn’t give us any prices on dry marina costs over the winter due to a possible change in administration.

The change in administration has definitely come, along with big changes in attitudes and prices.

Got my Bavaria44 for 3 years in Porto D’Alcudia and can highly recommend the harbour for its facilities and amenities. My favourite is the Meson Dulcinea, just past Ramons Tapas (which are really good too). Try the Chateaubriand when you get there, it is worth the walk into the little centre. If you can you must visit the old town and if you like fine-food, the Satyricon in its centre. We typically anchor at the little lighthouse 2nm north of the harbour for a swim and occasionally venture towards the nice beached north of Cala Ratjada. Ping me when you get there. Skype fbjk2000

Agree with comments above. Current prices at April 2014 for 11.6m at €48/Day. Wifi steak or non-existent in some places. Highly recommend Ramon’s bar for tapas etc.

    Alcudiamar Marina / visited October 2013 / 1942 classic, w/3m draft:

The very easy approach just “behind” the (admittedly ugly) small commercial port.
Contrary to nautical charts there is plenty of water below the keel all the way in.
Gas & service station right inside the harbour entrance, a full range of shops, chandleries and set aside the boatyard a fabulous “old style” (fix it – don’t exchange it!) repair shop.
Very friendly & professional reception, excellent and clean facilities, reasonable priced and courteous laundry service and well-stocked supermarket right inside the port.
Good security 24/7 w/Keycard access to jetties for smaller boats but also all around the marina.
Lots of very nice little bars and restaurants on the walkway to town, picturesque handicraft stalls also.
The town is a short walk away and very touristic w/the to be expected large selection of further bars and restaurants – the walled, “old town” (still within walking distance) well worth a visit – as is the Roman excavations right next to it.
Marina also has its own Hotel, they call “Boatel” for crews and owners w/attractive wintering rates.
45 minutes by car to the airport. (approx 1h by an excellent public transport system/bus)
(Take the express-bus to Palma central Bus station at Placa Espana and from there the Airport-Shuttle bus.)

Both other ports mentioned here (Marina de Bonaire, very nice & great/quaint location! & Puerto Ca’n Picafort) are very small and pretty much solidly taken up by locals.

Another option would be to anchor just outside Alcudiamar Marina, on well-holding sand with some people keeping their boats there year-round (which would scare me personally during the odd N’ly winter-storm!
Alcudiamar Marina has a Dinghy-Pier right next to “Aqua”-Restaurant, but facilities can only be used with electronic keycard issued to residents and visitors.
