We left our boat here for 10 days in August 2018 when we had to fly home at short notice. The marina office was very accommodating although normally at peak season 5 days is the maximum stay and you must pre-book. However, security is non-existent. We have an in-mast furling main and whilst we were away two of the long longitudinal battens were taken out of the sail, we presume that the thieves were actually planning to take the sail but it either proved too difficult or perhaps they were interrupted. In any event, we would recommend you lock the boat always when you leave it even if just to go for a coffee and don’t leave the boat there for long periods unattended. We had employed a guy from the sailing club to look out for it whilst we were away but he, of course, was not on hand 24/7. The marina office had recommended that we get someone and made us sign a ‘hold harmless’ statement before we left so we presume theft is not unusual there.

Spent a night at the PortsIB managed town quay to escape large swell. €51 for the 12.5x4m boat. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good shelter. Quay has steel rings with lazy lines. Good showers/toilets. Wifi broken. Electricity and water (with an adapter from office). No security (no problem though), excellent location right in the town centre. Short walk to the beach with adjacent showers/toilets. Large Supermarket about 500m north (to avoid the “Spar” shopping traps).
Important: VHF channel 08 for PortsIB (Port Authority Quay), channel 09 for Club Nautico.
