You can book to stay at the public quay/government dock on the south side of the harbour using the link above. €33 a night for 12m (Club Vela was €80!).
Port d’Andraitx is not a port of entry as noted below so for non-EU boats, be careful. Marinaros are very helpful here but spending two days moored in the middle of a working boatyard is not very quiet or scenic. Very expensive Marina. No really good nearby provisioning either
As of September 2016, Port d’Andraitx is not a full port of entry (where you can check in or out of the Schengen). We sailed to Andraitx from Italy (another Schengen country) and were going on from there to Gibraltar (outside Schengen). Reading that Andraitx was a port of entry, we assumed we could check in/out here. We went to the port authority and checked in.
They wrote up paperwork, and we – and they – thought all was fine. But overnight, they were sent a notification from the Palma port authority that we were not legally checked in, and had to come to Palma to check in and out of Spain. Palma’s officials were very nice, but told us that Port d’Andraitx was not a port of entry and that we were “illegal” until we came to Palma. A word for the wise.
Last months we regularly where using the mooring buoys, these are managed by the Club de Vela and in the summer you need to book at least 24 hours in front.
Service and assistance when mooring is provided by the club. Anchoring is only allowed outside the breakwater
We regularly moored here on the government dock directly on the right side as you enter the bay. There are rocks near the shore there, and you have to anchor out, but it’s the best and cheapest place to berth!
