YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

We visited Peniche early September 2018. The outer pontoon is in service and depending on the length of the yachts there is room for 6 to 7 yachts and 2 on the inside of the pontoon.
As earlier reported the fishing and passengers vessels cause quite a wash which make rafting up not advisable. When we were there were 6 yachts at anchor at SE part of the harbour. Cost for a 12.6 m yacht was 27.50 Euro/night.
Peniche Marina Management has informed us (18 May, 2018) that due to repairs to pontoons where permanent boats are usually moored, the marina pontoons are now full with many permanent boats until repairs are completed.
It is recommended that visiting yachts visit nearby Nazaré instead until the marina pontoons are once again available to use.
No need to radio ahead, just grab a spot on the visitor pontoon or moor alongside someone. There is an old boat(German flag) at the end of the pontoon which we moored against, but was difficult to get on and off – not the best place to moor.
We came in just before the harbour master finished for the day and he came down and gave us the card and keys to get into the marina and toilets- €30 cash deposit required. Speaks good English. There were many tourist ferry boats, but we had very little swell during the night.
Couldn’t see the recycling facilities. The harbour police were going to come on board, but they realised we were just leaving and said there was no need.
We anchored in the SE part of the harbour, May 2017. Perfect, well sheltered. Short dinghy trip to a pontoon near the sluice into the town.
On the other hand, there is a lot of wash from fishing boats racing in and out (of the harbour), but that is not really a problem.
We anchored near Ilha Berlenga. At night there are moorings free that are used during day-time by tourist boats. At night they are free. The outermost ones are used by bigger boats. Very nice place if there is no swell.
We cannot recommend this port at all. Berthing is rafted outside the hammerhead in the main harbour yet the fees are comparable to better marinas. The facilities are basic.
Fishing vessels race around all night ignoring the 3 kt speed limit and creating considerable wash slamming the rafted yachts together. We gave up any pretence at sleep and left at 0515H.
