After sailing from Gibraltar to Turkey and back, Budva takes the prize for the second-noisiest harbour we visited (after Bodrum Turkey). It takes the number one spot for most mercenary and least friendly. The manager of the floating jet ski pontoon demanded 20-25 euros to tie up our dinghy there when we came in from our anchorage. There was visible trash all over the harbour (mostly beer cans and other remnants of the heavy partying that goes on there nightly).

In town, we did find a helpful car rental agent (you will pay far less going to the local car rental offices over booking online at the larger agencies) who rented us a car for the day, taking nothing more than a look at our driver’s license before handing us the keys.

The Marina want €94 per night and they charge €19 per day to tie your dinghy up if you anchor off. There is nowhere else to tie up, it’s ridiculous.
