Notice April 2022: Russian flagged or registered yachts are not permitted to enter any ports in Lithuania. See news item for details.

Lithuania has only one Baltic seaport which is Klaipeda.

All boats (including EU boats) are advised to listen on VHF channel 16 as the Coast Guard is likely to call as soon as Lithuanian waters are entered. They will request details about the boat and destination. The Coast Guard channel is VHF ch. 73 with a call sign of ‘Impulse 3‘.

When entering the harbor or leaving, yachts must call Harbor Control on VHF channel 10, call sign Radio 32.

Clearance (for both arrival and departure) is carried out at the Customs pier in the commercial harbor; berth no. 42. The authorities must be contacted by telephone.

Yachts must keep clear of the navigation channel unless permission is obtained to either cross it or sail within it. When doing so, a listening watch must be maintained on VHF channels 16 and 09.
