Sant’Agata di Militello, late August 2018: Breakwater expansion is undergoing, with huge concrete blocks being dropped in the water. Keep 200m distance from the corner of the breakwater due to shallow area. Plenty of depth inside and lots of room to manoeuvre. The marina consists of a few pontoons in the NE corner of the large harbour. Good shelter from all but NE-E. No response on VHF 12, but a phone call was promptly answered and berthing aid is given. Marina fairly empty, but probably because it was a weekday and most of the charter boats were out.

The rate was €62 a night for the 12.5m boat. No shower, Portapotty toilet (key at the office). Good Wifi. Electricity and water on pontoons. Super friendly staff, very helpful. Fresh bread delivered to the boat in the morning. Excellent pizza delivery too. The office can call a “shuttle” to the small SIDIS supermarket in town. Fuel berth (Diesel 1.1699 €/L). No recycling. Walk into town isn’t the nicest, past a huge construction site and busy road with no sidewalk.

This marina lies half way between Cefalu and Milazzo and is a very nice and well-protected marina.
Giuseppe speaks English, is a nice person and is very helpful. He brings fresh bread at 8.30 directly to the boat.

Note that the safe entrance way is staying far 200 mt. from the pier, following the depth line of 4,5 – 5,5 mt.
There aren’t any rocks or dangerous points, just around of the external pier the depth is about 1,5 mt. due to the sand.
The depth also inside of the marina is at least 5,2 mt.
