Tanjung Priok (Jakarta) - Docking
The only place available for visiting yachts is Batavia Marina (see photo left courtesy of Gary Penney).
Marina Pantai Mutiara, just west of the Phinisi Harbour, cannot be entered at low tide.
Batavia marina is in the old harbour of Sund Kelapa located west of the commercial docks. See Cruisers’ report with the details of the approach to Batavia Marina and/or comments posted below.
The entrance has reported depths of less than 3m at HW. Keep to the centre of the entrance and head towards the small house/platform on the wall behind the entrance and between the markers.
Note that the lit channel marks are difficult to identify at night due to the city lights. It may be advisable to anchor off the breakwater and wait until daylight.

YachtFlags.com provides high quality courtesy flags that are manufactured in durable Knitted Polyester fabric. Knitted so that the fabric itself does not deteriorate in the constant movement that marine flags are usually exposed to, and polyester so that the flag does not weaken in the strong UV-light usually found in the main sailing areas of the world.

We entered Batavia marina with 80cm of tide just before HW. We draw 2.7m and registered 0cm under keel just before the entrance. Best line was to follow the midpoint and aim for the small house/platform on the wall behind the entrance between the markers.
Once inside the marina all fine. They had been dredging and the bottom is soft mid. Dirty water in marina and harbour. The restaurant at marina fun, and staff helpful even if the marina is dilapidated, security is good

If clearing out here try Hans Otto on +62 816 747 919 or hansdieterotto@hotmail.com – he will keep you right at a very sensible cost, and his advice proved sound for our arrival in Cocos Keeling. We left the boat here for a couple of days while we visited Jogjakarta – excellent security, non-potable water, and diesel available.
Only Batavia Sunda Kelap Marina is open and please note that the waypoint for the start of the channel to enter is at 06 06.920’S:106 48.956’E and NOT the waypoint provided by the Marian Manager, which takes you into the old Sunda Kelapa commercial harbour.
The marina channel has a shallow patch before and at the 90 degrees turn behind the marina wall – take care. We called on C69 and telephoned and they sent out a small motor boat to guide us in. The bottom is soft mud so unlikely to go hard aground or do any damage.
We visited in July 2015 in our OVNI 395. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Recommended
