Haulout in Cochin is expensive, and hard to find.
The Port operates an actual “dry dock” for big ships, and this is very expensive and not suited for yachts. If you “have to” lift, then it may be possible to discuss arrangements with the small industrial yard in the port that works on Indian Navy and Coast Guard boats.
Sea Blue Shipyard has been in operation on Vypin Island (only a short distance from Cochin International Marina and definitely navigable by yachts, and with no overhead obstacles) since 2003. They operate a marine railway / slipway with a 500T limit. For sailboats, drafts of 1.2 – 2.2m is definitely possible, but they need to have a good idea of the docking plan, or underwater profile of the hull. This is required so that they can setup the blocks properly (welded in place). A diver will be in the water when a boat comes into the lift, but the blocks have to be correctly positioned in advance.
In the past, they have also brought in a 200T crane, in lieu of using the slipway, but this comes at a cost of approximately $3,000 USD per day, minimum charge. The cost of using the slipway is even higher.
Hardstand costs for a 16m sailboat are estimated at 10,000 rupees per day, approximately $150 USD per day. It doesn’t matter whether the boat is on the slipway, or on the hard next to the slipway (lifted by crane) – the costs are very high.
The yard also has a wealth of experience with sandblasting, welding, hydraulics and refrigeration technicians – most of which can travel to work offsite at the marina.
It is possible to find fibreglassing supplies, epoxy and polyurethane paint, teak, many electrical supplies and much more, but finding sailboat hardware and a sailmaker or a rigger may be a challenge.

    Although it is only June 2018, I have a very good idea of which boats have already passed through the Suez Canal and the Red Sea. There have been 31 private yachts that made the passage, of which 5 have made a North to South Passage. The boat names are:
