Ile Rousse - Docking

This harbor provides excellent shelter, including from northerly winds.

Unfortunately, however, it is no longer possible to anchor here and instead, yachts must use the mooring buoys that have been installed in the bay. See comment below about the high charges.

Be aware of the large ferries which enter here.

    Data Entry2 says:

Although Navionics charts show you can anchor, this is no longer allowed. We stopped for the night in June 2018 and were asked to use one of the new mooring buoys. The guy was very friendly, but didn’t know to price, and insisted on taking our boat papers.

In the morning we saw other boats that had arrived after us leaving very early, and when I went to collect my papers I understood why. The port wanted to charge almost EUR200 for staying on the buoy (we are less than 14m catamaran).

I refused and eventually settled on EUR 55. The town is quite pretty at night, but there are few shops and little to see, so I would give this place a wide berth.
