Electricity:

  • Voltage: 230 V
  • Frequency: 50 Hz

Fuel:

There are fuel berths in most larger harbors and generally these tend to be open 24 hours.

Only diesel containing 5% biodiesel can be sold in Estonia.

LPG:

The is no Camping gas.

Propane can be obtained at special gas stations in larger towns.

Pump-out:

Pump-out facilities have to be provided at every harbor.

Navigation:

Warning As in the case of the other Baltic republics, existing British and US charts have many inaccuracies and local charts should be used if at all possible. Attention is drawn to an uncharted rock south of Kihnu, which has already caused the loss of a yacht, in the reported position 58°04.4’N, 24°03.8’E. This danger has been reported to be wrongly depicted also on the latest Russian charts.

You can easily sail throughout the entire night during June and July, and you might get just few hours of moderate darkness.

There are no tides or significant currents off the coast of Estonia.

Invest in a good dinghy as while there are many islands to explore, the depth around the islands is shallow requiring yachts to anchor some distance off shore.

Pirita is probably the worst harbour in Tallinn and in deep need for renovation…
however there are many new Marinas.. Tallinn Old City, Kakumäe (opened 2017), Lennusadam, Mniiduranna

In Muhumaa – there is also Lõunaranna, Hiiumaa is Heltermaa etc… there is probably about 3-5 new harbours that are opened evey year.
