Korcula Town

The usual berths here are in the ACI marina, which lies in a small cove, east of the town. It is protected by a breakwater on the northern side. This is often full and it is worth reserving a berth in advance.

When the town marina is full, yachts are directed to the outside of the breakwater. This is exposed and it may be worth moving elsewhere.

An alternative is a quay near the Harbour Master’s office, or on the west side of the town. Yachts that anchor in the bay near the town will be charged for anchoring. See the latest fees reported under comments at bottom of the page.

Fuel Berth. Navionics shows a lack of depth at the fuel berth just W of Korcula town. There is plenty.

There are on-going re-construction works at Marina Korcula, but transient boats are still welcome in a limited capacity. See this news item for details: https://aci-marinas.com/aci-marina-korcula-welcomes-boaters/

Stayed on the anchor at Uvala Luka – 10 minutes from the Old Town. A lovely place! Once somebody tried to take money from the crew on board, but was answered that Skipper is on the shore and there is no money on the boat. By the way this place in not on the list of official paid anchorages.

We just need a small repair job and didn’t want to go into Split. There is a super friendly family in Korcula, based inside the ACI marina. Just walk down to the white crane and you will find a small machine shop and chandlery. They also arranged for someone to fix out VHF antenna atop the mast(www.oreb-sailing.com) for a very reasonable price. Very happy

We anchored at the Missionary and this is now being charged by Korcula port authority for overnight stays. This was at 150kuna for a monohull, more for a catamaran. Free anchorage still at U. Banja also near Korcula Town which is where we relocated!

the strait just north of Korcula on a windy day provides a glorious show of windsurfers and parasailors and other hotdoggers with sails, hydro devices – anything that will whisk them over the water. As you sail the strait they will zip by you, often waving to you, and will ham it up even more if they see you filming them. They are a joy to watch and provide fantastic entertainment!
