Had the worst time…
We arrived early in the morning and anchored outside the marina to await some daylight. Got a spot along the pier. A lot of movement in the water, the boat tugged back and forth quite violently. We asked if there was any way we could get a berth at one of the pontoons but there were only private berths.
Felt like we got ripped off by one of the staff, who demanded we paid 20euro/night. It’s an outrageous price considering there are no facilities at all. There is a toilet at the info centre but they close at 20:00. Plus the spot we got didn’t even have a ladder so we couldn’t get on or off the boat during low tide (2m difference).
There were water and electricity but we were not allowed to use it, never understood why because of the language barrier. The strange thing was that initially we paid 6euro/night, and thought that’s a reasonable prize since we can’t leave the boat because of the tide, having to adjust the lines all the time. Later when new staff came we had to pay more… very strange place.
If you have a boat that isn’t very easy to manoeuvre, long keel and no bow thruster, I recommend anchoring rather than mooring against the pier since it was a bit of a struggle getting out of there!
