Road Harbour - Clearance
See the main BVI Formalities page for full details on clearing into and out of the BVIs.
General Clearance:
The Government Dock is where vessels arriving from outside the BVI clear Customs and Immigration. Anchor off of the government dock then dinghy in.
Operating Hours: 8:30 am – 9:00 pm daily.
The docks themselves are used by ferries and commercial vessels so may be very crowded. All crew on board need to present themselves with their passports.
If wishing to remain in the BVI for more than one month, the Temporary Import Permit (TIP) can be obtained here, but not at either port on Virgin Gorda.

Propane Fill at Delta Petroleum — Be advised that Delta Petroleum does not charge by the metered gallon of propane, but by the fill, so best take an empty tank. They are very friendly and accommodating. Fill you dinghy fuel tank at the same time! George
Re the comment above, substitute Wickhams Cay 2 for Marina Cay. We found Delta Petroleum but they did not have an adaptor to fill our Camping Gaz cylinder. However we then found out about Express Gass. You just call Thomas on 1-284-494-3766 or 443-1464 or 543-2401. He will pickup/dropoff anywhere in Road Harbour for $5 or Nanny Cay for $15 and will supply propane or butane. We had ours back in a couple of hours and very friendly service.
If you need propane, make your way from Marina Cay along the main highway towards the airport. About a third of a mile, and directly across from the Cash & Carry and Riteway stores is Delta Petroleum.
They fill on site from the back of the store on the corner of the building closest to the water. We filled a 20lb bottle on March 5th, 2014, for a cost of $25, and the attendant did it right away.
