Portoscuso - General Info
Description:
Portoscuso, Portu de Scusi in Sardinian language, is located on Sardinia’s SW coast approximately 75 kilometres (47 mi) west of Cagliari.
This harbour offers good protection from the South and South West with Sant’Antioco island and San Pietro island lying closely offshore.
The town originated a hamlet inhabited by tuna and coral fishermen and has some beautifully restored original buildings.
At Portoscuso, there is Sulcis Power Station, the largest power station of Sardinia, whose chimney is the tallest man-made structure on Sardinia.
