Serasa to Muara Besar bridge at 5 0.303N 115 4.329E (WGS84). The low level access bridge for the construction project built out from either side, has been removed. The main bridge is complete and the two central spans assigned for navigation are marked and observable day and night. Be careful of tugs towing large barges that have very limited manoeuvrability when approaching or departing this narrow navigation channel. This Serasa/Muara Besar bridge is declared to have 28m clearance at high water. Taller yachts will still be able to reach our Mangrove Paradise Resort anchorage, and the two RBYC premises (Serasa and Dato Gandi) by taking the older channel around Pelumpang Spit and south of Pulau Muara Besar. The channel here is in the process of dredging and marking with new lateral marks. It’s best to approach this area in daylight.
