USVI, St. Croix, Christiansted: Night boarding and theft at public pier – August 2019
An unlocked catamaran berthed at the public pier in Christiansted was boarded at night by an intruder who escaped with just some cash. As reported by CSSN.

An occupied catamaran was docked at the Christiansted boardwalk public pier. At 0230 HRS the owners were awakened and discovered a man had boarded and entered the yacht through the unlocked saloon door. He had rifled purses and wallets and taken cash, as well as some tools.
When confronted he dropped the tools and quickly departed.
The owners remained on watch and the thief returned 3 more times between 0230 and 0400, in each case he fled after being confronted.
