Picton - General Info
Description:
Picton is a small seaport at the head of the Queen Charlotte Sound at the northern tip of New Zealand’s South Island. It is in an area known as the Marlborough Sounds, which is a popular cruising ground for kiwi sailors.

Waikawa Marina has a haulout yard and is well serviced by marine businesses and chandleries should you need any repairs.
Entrance Notes and Cautions:
Picton is also the home of the inter-island ferries which travel daily between Wellington and Picton via the Tory Channel and Queen Charlotte Sound. Please give way to the numerous car ferries that travel at speed through the Sounds.
